We believe that participation in extra-curricular activities is an important part of a student's school experience. We try to offer a wide variety of activities to appeal to all students. At the same time, participation in activities is a privilege that must be earned by maintaining acceptable academic achievement and behavior. Students who participate in extra-curricular athletics or activities are expected to be passing all classes and show good effort in class. Students who are not showing a reasonable level of effort will be in danger of being ruled ineligible for the sport or activity. In such a situation the athletic director and coach to meet with the teacher, student, grade level leader, principal, and counselor or IB Coordinator to decide upon the best course of action. The principal, counselor, IB Coordinator and athletic director will review extenuating circumstances.
