The Anglo-AmericanSchool of St. Petersburg has a small but active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Our main purpose is to build a lively and cohesive school community.Throughout the year we organize activities for the children and parents. Our classroom parents arrange for volunteers to assist school staff when necessary. We encourage open communication at school.
At the beginning of the school, year we organize a newcomer’s meeting that provides an opportunity to meet other new parents and PTO members. The newcomer’s meeting also allows us to share information about our school, the PTO, and school activities, and to answer any and all questions that you may have about the school and St. Petersburg.
All AASSP parents are invited to join the PTO. There are many ways to get involved, such as being a classroom parent or assisting in event organization. Volunteering is a good way to meet new people and become a part of the school community.
News about PTO events can be found in the Panther Press, our weekly AASSP newsletter. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me or any other PTO member.
