MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Rhonda Norris |  rhonda.norris@aas.ru

Congratulations to the MS CEESA Band, Strings, and Choir performances over the past week.  I was fortunate enough to see the Choir performance at AAS on Saturday night and I have heard that the Band and Strings were each an amazing experience for our students.  The HS CEESA Knowledge Bowl, as well as the THIMUN experiences, were also outstanding opportunities for our students.  Thank you to the sponsors who make these enriching opportunities for our students possible and to those families who hosted for the MS CEESA events.

A few reminders for this week:

  • The AAS PTO grant process is open until February 24.
    • Project proposals will be presented at the PTO General Meeting on March 19, 2019.
    • Proposal examples and details on requirements can be found on https://www.aas.ru/PTO/enhancement.
  • MS Knowledge Bowl and MS MUN began this past Monday. Students can still sign up until next Monday.
  • Please support our athletes as they continue with basketball and swimming!
  • Good luck to our MS Basketball Team in the MISAS basketball tournament this Friday!
  • The PTO Used Book Fair is in the Malyy theater starting today through Saturday.
  • HS CEESA Robotics will be Thursday through Sunday. All the best for a great experience to these students and sponsors.
  • ES report cards and MS and HS Progress reports are distributed to parents this week.

The High School Prom is this coming Saturday, February 9, at the Spaso House, another milestone for our Seniors.  Wishing those students who attend an amazing Prom!

As the days get slightly longer and the February break approaches, we continue to appreciate our partnership with parents in supporting our students in their learning.  Thank you for all you do in our community in supporting AAS!

Have a wonderful week!

Rhonda
