Welcome back to our MS Boys tennis team who participated in the CEESA MS Boys Tennis tournament in Sofia last weekend - you worked hard and were good representatives of AAS!
Good luck to our MS Girls tennis team as they travel to Prague for their CEESA tournament this weekend. Go Penguins!
AAS 70th Anniversary
We have two more spirit days this week to help celebrate the 70th Anniversary of AAS!
  • Thursday (Oct. 10): 1980s and 1990s
  • Friday (Oct. 11): 2000s and 2010s
  • Alternatively, students may wear an international costume on any day, or wear their uniform
Friday, students will also get to participate in a variety of 70th Anniversary activities during the last block of the school day.
MS/HS Variety Show - Come support our MS performers next Tuesday, October 15, 15:45 in the Malyy for the MS/HS Variety Show.
The MS is joining ranks with the HS to raise awareness for Breast Cancer research by participating in Pinktober. Every Wednesday in October, students are allowed to wear PINK clothing instead of the regular uniform. If a student chooses NOT to wear pink on Wednesday, they must be in the regular school uniform.
Outdoor recess - As the temperature continues to drop, students are still expected to go outside for two recesses a day. This means students should come to school every day with appropriate clothing to be outside for 20 minutes - this means hat, gloves, scarf and a winter coat.
The end of Quarter 1 is approaching - Friday, 18 October. More information about quarter progress reports will be shared next week. However, you are able to see current student progress in JumpRope, our online gradebook.
Have a great week!
