Art In Elementary School
Art is an important part of primary school, offering students an outlet for expression and creativity.
In Kindergarten, art classes focus on building basic skills, such as line, color, and composition. As students progress, more complex topics are explored, such as light, shadow, and form.
Art classes at AAS are tightly integrated into the PYP curriculum, fostering collaboration and critical thinking. By the end of primary school, students have a foundation of knowledge and skills to use in middle and high school. Art classes are essential for a well-rounded, holistic education, giving students the opportunity to find their own artistic voice.
