Middle School Aquatics

The AAS Aquatics Department is committed to inspire lifelong love of aquatics, promote diversity, fun and leadership in aquatic activities and to enhance self-confidence, team spirit and sportsmanship.

Fall

Penguin Swim Team 

The penguin Swim Team is made up of swimmers who can competently perform all competitive strokes and turns. The focus of this program is stroke enhancement, aerobic capacity, competition and fun.

Practice schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 15:45 – 17:45 | Season length: Season starts on August 28 and ends with the Penguin Fall Classic Swim Meet

 

 

Waterpolo

This program is open to competent and confident swimmers who are interested in learning the sport of water polo, getting in shape and having fun. Registration is open to middle and high school boys and girls.

Practice schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 15:45 – 17:15 | Season length: Season starts on August 28 

 

 

Swim meet: Super Saturday Sprint Meet

This swim meet is an ‘in house’ swim meet where ES, MS, and HS swimmers will have the opportunity to race in the shorter, sprint events. It is not compulsory to attend this meet, and it is designed to teach younger swimmers about the routines of swim meets giving everyone a chance to race and have fun.

This swim meet is usually scheduled before the Fall break near the end of the Elementary Term 1 Penguin Clubs.

 

Winter

Penguin Swim Team

The Penguin Swim team is made up of swimmers who can competently perform all competitive strokes and turns. The focus of this program is stroke enhancement, aerobic capacity, competition and fun. The culminating swim meet is the CEESA Swim meet where up to 8 boys and 8 girls represent our school.

Practice schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 15:45 – 17:15 | Season length: Season starts on November 20 and ends with the CEESA tournament

 

Spring

Practice schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 15:45 – 17:15 | Season length: Season starts on March 25 and ends with the Penguin Spring Classic Swim Meet
